If things do not go Liverpool’s way in the first leg of the match, which will take place on Wednesday night, then for the deciding leg of the match that will take place the following week, Liverpool could be without four of their key players.
In accordance with the regulations governing the competition of the Champions League, any player who receives three yellow cards between the first match and the quarterfinals will be disqualified from the subsequent match representing their team.
As a result of the elimination of all previous yellow cards in the competition after the quarterfinals, it is unfortunate for Liverpool that four of their players might not be able to participate in the home leg against Paris Saint-Germain if they are cautioned in Paris.
The fact that Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, Harvey Elliott, and Darwin Nunez each received two yellow cards during Liverpool’s eight group stage matches makes it possible that they will not be able to participate in the match that will take place the following week.

Fabian Ruiz is the only player for Paris Saint-Germain who is in danger of missing the second leg of the tie. If he is cautioned by match referee Davide Massa, he will not be able to travel to Anfield to play the second leg of the tie.
