Former PSG star ‘kicked out’ of Anfield by security during Liverpool clash

According to reports, a former player for Paris Saint-Germain was ‘kicked out’ of Anfield during his team’s victory over Liverpool in the Champions League penalty shootout. This occurred after the player was discovered in the home end of the stadium.

Due to the fact that the match was tied 1-1 on aggregate over the course of two legs, the French giants advanced to the quarterfinals through the use of penalties.

Despite having dominated the first ninety minutes of the match in France, Le Parisiens entered the second leg at Anfield trailing by a score of 1-0.

On the other hand, they were able to tie the score at twelve minutes through Ousmane Dembele, who took advantage of an error made by Ibrahima Konate and scored for Liverpool.

Both teams had chances to win the match before the extra time was played, and both goalkeepers, Alisson and Gianluigi Donnarumma, made crucial saves to prevent them from doing so.

On the other hand, the match was decided by penalties, and Donnarumma was able to save both of the spot kicks that were taken by Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones of Liverpool.

Due to the fact that the penalty kicks were taken in front of the Anfield Road End, which is where the PSG fans were housed, they were ecstatic in their celebrations.

However, one fan, who was also a former player, was unable to participate in those celebrations because of a scheduling conflict.

After being seen in one of the home ends during the second half of the match at Anfield, former Paris Saint-Germain forward Jeremy Menez was reportedly kicked out of the stadium, according to Canal+.

After signing with Le Parisiens in 2011, which was shortly after Qatar Sports Investments had finished their takeover of the club, Menez played for the club for three seasons, during which he scored 19 goals and made 110 appearances.

While playing for Paris Saint-Germain, he was able to win two Ligue 1 titles before being sold to AC Milan in 2014. His performance earned him a call-up to the France squad.

Former Arsenal and Manchester City star Samir Nasri was the source of the story. While analysing the game for Canal+, Nasri disclosed what had occurred to his former international teammate. Nasri was a member of the Netherlands national team.

In addition, he expressed his concern for those individuals who were expelled from the stadium.

There was Jeremy Menez present at the game, and they enquired as to whether or not he was French. Immediately following his response, they instructed him to exit the stadium. As late as the seventieth minute, no less!

Menez is employed by DAZN, which is Canal+’s competitor in the broadcasting industry, and he has been present at a number of Champions League matches this season.

He took pictures with a number of Paris Saint-Germain supporters outside of Anfield before the game began, and he was required to watch the conclusion of the game from the same location.
