Chelsea are facing a massive revamp, with a fifth player now trying to leave Stamford Bridge after holding discussions with club executives, having struggled to get into Enzo Maresca’s plans
Axel Disasi is expected to become the fourth Chelsea player to go for the exit door at Stamford Bridge this month.
The Frenchman joined the Blues in a £39million deal in 2023 but has struggled to establish himself under Enzo Maresca. Though he has led the squad in the Europa Conference League, Disasi has made just five appearances in the Premier League.
His past two games have seen him play out of position at right-back, with his latest start coming in the awful 2-0 defeat at struggling Ipswich. Maresca elected to leave Disasi on the bench for the draw with Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old was returned to the club for the pounding of Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup, playing full 90 minutes. But it now looks that Disasi has joined the ‘bomb squad’ at the Blues.

Disasi is anticipated to be left out of the team who will face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Tuesday. The Frenchman has conducted conversations with club executives and he is now planning to depart Stamford Bridge.
A number of teams are already mulling up bids for him, with Disasi expected to join the exodus out from Stamford Bridge. Disasi will join Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell in searching for an escape.
Disasi is already getting interest from one big club. Reports in Italy have stated that Juventus are putting up a deal for the Frenchman as they strive to enhance their defensive options.
According to reports, Juventus considers Disasi to be a player who possesses a high degree of versatility. Chelsea, on the other hand, is reportedly prepared to approve a loan agreement that includes an obligation to buy if he plays a particular number of games. The giants of Serie A are still weighing the benefits of making a move before making a decision.
When it comes to Thiago Motta, club chiefs believe that Disasi has the potential to be a “very useful wildcard.” The season has been difficult for Juventus, as the club currently sits in fifth place in Serie A, 14 points behind Napoli, who are the league leaders.
Due to the manner in which Maresca has utilised Disasi during this season, he has been subjected to criticism. After Blues legend John Obi Mikel was unable to recover from the loss at Ipswich, he voiced his disapproval of the decision to play him at right back.
According to what he said on his podcast, “Why is Disasi playing right-back when you have three right-backs on the bench?” In order to begin taking responsibility for dropped points, the manager needs to begin doing so. I am completely perplexed as to why the manager occasionally plays Disasi at right back instead of gusto for some reason.
Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile have both suffered injuries, which has left Maresca with a limited number of defensive options. On Tuesday, the Blues will be seeking to rekindle their championship bid against the Cherries. The Blues have fallen to fourth place in the Premier League.
