Fans spot something ‘wrong’ with Marcus Rashford after two games for England and don’t understand why it’s happening

Following the discovery of something ‘wrong’ with Marcus Rashford’s performance for England, fans have been reacting on social media.

Thomas Tuchel was in charge of his second match for England, which took place on Monday night. The Three Lions were playing Latvia at Wembley Stadium for a World Cup qualifying match in 2026. ”

As was to be expected, England dominated the game from the beginning to the end, and they won by a score of 3-0 thanks to goals scored by Reece James, Harry Kane, and Eberechi Eze.

After watching Rashford’s recent performances, fans were left wondering and questioned whether he is playing too safe. They expressed their reactions on social media expressing their confusion.

One of Rashford’s fans expressed their disapproval by stating, “It is difficult to watch a Rashford performance in which he is only attempting to create rather than cutting inside and hit one.”

“His crossing technique is inconsistent and it’s clear he’s a shoot-first player, just not sure why he’s playing a lot more safer for club/country recently.”

A different individual tweeted: “It feels like the only time he had balance to his game was during that COVID period.”

A third supporter chimed in, saying, “I believe that he is still struggling with a lack of confidence.”

Another person wrote, “I believe that his confidence has been completely destroyed, which is very unfortunate.” Eze came on and started cutting in right away, and he eventually scored a goal. He was disappointed that Rashford was unable to do any of that for the majority of the game.

A supporter of the 27-year-old athlete wrote in support of him, “He still did okay. One of the players who has performed the best on the pitch.”

During the match against Albania that took place on Friday night, Rashford played for 74 minutes before being replaced by Anthony Gordon. With eleven minutes remaining in the 90th minute of the match against Latvia, the loanee from Aston Villa was taken off the pitch, and Curtis Jones came on to take his place.

Following the match against Albania, Tuchel was left wanting more from players such as Rashford and Phil Foden. She was left wanting more.

As he stated, “We hope that these positions will have a greater impact.” More aggressive runs towards the box, as well as more dribbling before the box. In a general sense, that was incomplete. The little runs that are made behind the line are where the chances come from.

“There was a bit missing they were not as decisive as they can be.”
