Fans have just discovered Botafogo star who scored shock winner vs PSG at Club World Cup has already signed for Premier League team

A Premier League team has already signed the standout forward.

The Botafogo player has already committed to a Premier League team after scoring an unexpected game-winning goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup.

PSG, the Champions League winners from the previous season, defeated Atletico Madrid, another European powerhouse, handily to start their Club World Cup campaign.

However, Botafogo, a Brazilian team, defeated Luis Enrique’s team 1-0 in Friday’s match in Pasadena, California.

They start the season with back-to-back wins after defeating the Seattle Sounders 2-1, and Igor Jesus’s goal in the first half gave his team a historic triumph over PSG.

Jesus scored a goal as well as his club defeated the Seattle Sounders.

The 24-year-old forward has already finalized a move away from Botafogo, but he is rapidly establishing himself.

Before the 2025–2026 season begins, he is expected to sign with Nottingham Forest.

That’s what Fabrizio Romano says of Jesus, who ‘may be regarded a new Nottingham Forest player’ along with Jair Cunha, who is also expected to transfer to the City Ground.

The deal will cost £30 million, according to the Telegraph.

Fans were commenting online about Forest’s early business, of course.

In the words of one X user: “Cold signings from Forest.”

“Forest moving fast this window,” a second person added.

According to a third, “Forest cooking early this window.”

Jesus was introduced to Arsenal during the January transfer window, thus it’s a big acquisition for Forest.

Tim Vickery, a journalist from South America, told Give Me Sport: “Igor Jesus is Brazil’s center forward at Botafogo right now. I believe the plan is to join the Premier League following the Club World Cup. Arsenal’s lack of action during the January window surprised me.

Before departing after the competition is over, Jesus will continue to play for Botafogo at the Club World Cup.

On Monday, they will play Atletico again in their campaign.

On the same day that Enrique praised Botafogo’s defense, PSG takes on the Seattle Sounders.

In his own words, “I think it’s normal,” “This is a really tough and hard battle. Every team is driven, particularly when it comes to ours.

“I believe that occasionally our squad found it difficult to overcome their defense. In my opinion, Botafogo is among the tournament’s most formidable defensive units.
