Fabrizio Romano: Arsenal Really Excited About ‘Incredible’ Isak Alternative

According to Fabrizio Romano, Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig is one of Arsenal’s top targets for the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are allegedly in advanced negotiations over the 21-year-old striker’s possible arrival and are considering him as a way to bolster Mikel Arteta’s frontline after the season.

Despite transfer rumors, Leipzig had no plans to trade Sesko in January. However, Romano says things might be “completely different” in the summer.

With Premier League clubs showing increasing interest in the Slovenian international, including Chelsea, it is agreed that Sesko will have the chance to consider his alternatives.

Benjamin Sesko is wanted by Arsenal.
The Gunners are “maintaining contact.”

After being hesitant to sell their star striker in January, Romano disclosed on his YouTube channel that Leipzig would be amenable to Sesko’s exit in the summer:

The sentiment is entirely different in the summer, despite Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff’s very obvious internal communication that he truly wanted to keep Benjamin Sesko at RB Leipzig for January.

It is understood that Benjamin Sesko will have the opportunity to attempt something fresh and different in the summer, and Arsenal will undoubtedly be there.

He is regarded as one of Arsenal’s best strikers and is valued by Chelsea and other teams. However, Arsenal continues to maintain communication since they think Benjamin Sesko might be a very powerful and desirable contender for the striker position starting in the upcoming campaign.

“He’s scoring goals and dishing out assists, and Arsenal continues to monitor the player’s progress.”

Sesko has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing four assists and 15 goals, making him a vital member of the Bundesliga team.

The Rising Stars XI has called the 21-year-old “incredible.” He has scored six goals in his previous eight league games, including Sunday’s 2-0 victory over St. Pauli, where he also contributed an assist.

After Gabriel Jesus suffered a season-ending injury, Arsenal was anticipated to recruit a new striker in January. However, they ended up having a quiet window as they continue to compete for the Premier League crown.

With one more game played, the Gunners are six points behind leaders Liverpool. On Saturday, they will travel to play Leicester City.
