Before the match on April 23 against London rivals Arsenal, Pochettino was under pressure, but Chelsea appeared determined to stick with him. The fact that the Blues had advanced to the League Cup final and the FA Cup semifinals gave them hope that he could turn things around the following season.
But all that was altered by Mikel Arteta’s team’s merciless 5-0 thrashing. It proved once more how far Chelsea is from contending with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool for Premier League titles in the future.
Chelsea believes there are other excellent managers who could help expedite the club’s ambitious project, but they are hesitant to fire another coach and have to begin a new managerial era (again).

La Repubblica, an Italian publication, claims that Boehly is “dreaming big” for the summer and intends to make an impression with his next managerial acquisition.
In order to persuade Conte to make an incredible comeback to West London, the American billionaire is prepared to “do everything.” This includes a “significant offer,” which most likely entails a massive salary proposal that is significantly higher than Pochettino’s current compensation.
Serie A powerhouses Napoli and AC Milan are also keeping an eye on Conte’s circumstances, so Chelsea is not the only team that admires him.

However, considering that the former midfield player is eager to win titles immediately, he might grow impatient with the length of time it takes the Chelsea youth to blossom into elite players.
