Ex-Chelsea star John Obi Mikel reignites furious war of words with Nicolas Jackson

John Obi Mikel once ran the danger of inciting Nicolas Jackson, a top player for Chelsea, to become enraged after casting doubt on his finishing.

“Don’t talk s***,” Jackson retaliated against Chelsea Champions League champion Mikel after the player scored a goal against Wolves in August. After Mikel criticized the Blues striker’s finishing skills in his analysis of Chelsea’s loss to Manchester City, the forward sent out a message.

The former Chelsea midfielder said his old squad needed a more consistent goal scorer. Jackson objected to that.

But Mikel is now even more critical of the former Villareal star. Nonetheless, the 37-year-old acknowledged Jackson’s skill as a player.

“I’ve always expressed my opinions on Nicolas Jackson. I have never claimed that he is a terrible player; he is a terrific player,” Mikel remarked to beIN Sports.

“His finishing has to be lot better, that’s the only complaint. He provides for the team by meeting our needs and showing up at the appropriate moment.”

Mikel went on, “I think everyone will understand what I am saying, but I don’t think he agrees to it. It’s genuinely helpful critique, not borne out of malice.”

While speaking with Mikel, Ruud Gullit remarked, “As long as he knows that himself.” Mikel said, “But he doesn’t.” That’s why he urged me to stop talking after he scored.”

Mikel was a major advocate for Chelsea to buy Victor Osimhen from Napoli during the transfer window. Mikel even seemed to be participating in the talks about the transfer to make the transition easier.

“I am aware of Victor’s desires. On The Obi One podcast, the Chelsea hero stated, “I know what the club offered him.” “I am aware of where we ended up; both parties had to make concessions.

We had limited time and had to deal with paperwork, medical matters, and a few other concerns that we were unable to resolve. It just didn’t work the one time you wanted the minutes, hours, and seconds to slow down a little.

“I believe that all parties contributed significantly to closing the deal, and I applaud Chelsea for that, as I can see their ambition for the future of this club,” Mikel continued.

Victor believes that we know where we are if we need to bring this up again, whether it is in January or the summer of the following year. We are aware of our stopping point; all that is left to do is finalize a few things, and the deal will be completed. Therefore, in my opinion, Victor and the club are in a really happy situation, and so is Victor.
