Summary
Every current Liverpool player’s salary, from the four goalkeepers to the forwards, has been mentioned.
As expected, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are among Liverpool’s highest-paid players.
Giovanni Leoni, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez, among the club’s most recent additions, are also featured.
Liverpool appear to have won everything over the last decade. But, while a sixth Champions League high point and a first Premier League title in 30 years were impressive enough, the fact that the Jurgen Klopp era achieved such unprecedented heights while operating with a net spend far lower than their rivals only adds to the Reds’ recent success stories.
Liverpool has frequently been praised for its economic plan, which has kept the club on good financial footing. Whereas other top European club owners are concerned about past devil-may-care transfer policies, the Reds remain far from the Financial Fair Play laws that are creeping up with Chelsea and Manchester City.
Despite this, their commitment to long-term players means their salary bill can be quite tight at times, with 12 players making at least £100,000 per week. Using Capology to acquire the rest of the data, every Liverpool player’s earnings were examined – and the results remain a welcome sight for anyone fed up with football’s ugly, money-spinning side.
Goalkeepers

Alisson is one of the top goalkeepers in international football. Despite this global reputation, his weekly salary of £150,000 does not place him among the world’s top five highest-paid goalkeepers. Instead, Manuel Neuer tops the list, earning a stunning £339,000 every week.
The Brazilian has saved his team on numerous times, so a large bonus at the conclusion of each week would be quite justified. However, what better location to demonstrate Liverpool’s frugal ways than with the small sums they spend on their goalkeepers.
Giorgi Mamardashvili has taken over as Liverpool’s backup goalkeeper after Caoimhin Kelleher left the club. At the time of writing, the only other shot-stoppers in Liverpool’s first team were Freddie Woodman and Armin Pecsi.

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure is the most significant alteration to the squad this summer. The right-back has moved to Real Madrid, wiping out his £180,000-per-week salary. In his stead, Jeremie Frimpong has come at Anfield and will reportedly earn £100,000 per week.
Virgil van Dijk receives the second-highest salary among his colleagues, earning £350,000 per week after signing a new contract. Andrew Robertson, the Scotland captain, completes a trio of defenders who earn six-figure salaries, earning £160,000 each week.
Ibrahima Konate, Van Dijk’s most trusted centre-back, earns £70,000 a week, which is £15,000 less than Joe Gomez. Conor Bradley also makes more than the Frenchman, who has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid. Giovanni Leoni gets £30,000 each week.

Midfielders

Two years ago, Liverpool’s biggest weakness was in the midfield, with major earners James Milner, Fabinho, and club captain Jordan Henderson all leaving. However, Klopp brought in Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and World Cup winner Alexis MacAllister to compensate for the departures.
For the most part, it has been a success, with Mac Allister impressing in his first season with the club and Gravenberch now shining under Arne Slot. Mac Allister, Gravenberch, and Szoboszlai all earn more than £100,000 per week, but Florian Wirtz, who will reportedly earn £195,000 per week after joining Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen, is one of the club’s highest-paid players.

Forwards

Certainly, it was no surprise that Mo Salah is his club’s main breadwinner, earning an eye-watering £400,000 per week, which enabled him stay on Merseyside despite mounting attention from Saudi Arabia. But, given that the ‘Egyptian King’ is the Reds’ primary goal scorer, who can blame the club for wanting to keep him?
Hugo Ekitike became one of Liverpool’s highest-paid players when he moved from Frankfurt for £79 million. He got a six-year contract paying a cool £200,000 each week. A deal has apparently been reached for Alexander Isak. Sky Sports Germany reports that the Swedish sniper will earn £250,000 per week.
Federico Chiesa signed a four-year deal earning £150,000 per week last summer, but his days at the club appear to be numbered. The Italian makes more than left-winger Cody Gapo, who recently signed a new contract with a weekly salary of £150,000.
Meanwhile, The Athletic reports that adolescent phenom Rio Ngumoha is receiving £1,200 per week as a scholar. The youthful winger, who made his Premier League debut against Newcastle with a last-gasp winner, will not be able to sign a professional deal until he turns 17.
