According to The Athletic, Sterling is not likely to leave any time soon, even though Manchester United and other teams are interested.A report from The Athletic says that Sterling’s first goal is to settle his contract issues with Chelsea before starting talks with other teams. Right now, the player makes £325,000 a week at Chelsea. He has three years left on his contract, and he wants to talk to his club about leaving before he decides.
The Daily Mail says that Manchester United could be a way for the 29-year-old to get away since they want to get rid of Jadon Sancho. The player’s high pay at the West London club, on the other hand, could make that move less likely.
The former Liverpool and Manchester City star is working by himself right now because he hasn’t played in any of Maresca’s team’s games so far. It remains to be seen if the player can talk things out and leave Chelsea before Friday, when the transfer window closes.
