Erik ten Hag issues ‘kill’ demand to Man Utd players ahead of Europa League opener

Before last week’s impressive 7–0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag told his players they need to be more cruel in front of goal.

Erik ten Hag says that Manchester United needs to score more goals and “kill” more players in the box.

United has only scored five goals in five Premier League games this season, and Ten Hag knows they need to score more.

Ten Hag said this about United’s first Europa League game tomorrow against FC Twente: “We create a lot of chances in the first games of the season and scored seven goals against Barnsley last week, so we can score many goals.” But we need to get better at that part of the game and kill in the box.

“There are several sides to this. Creating chances is the most important thing. We have a lot of good times because we are creative, and we have a lot of chances to score goals. Keep this process going and finish to work on.”

Ten Hag explained why he didn’t start Marcus Rashford in Saturday’s goalless draw at Crystal Palace, even though the striker had scored three goals in the previous two games.

Tan Hag said, “I didn’t get the criticism.” “But people have rights. They can if they want to, but they can’t bring up rumors. They have to believe me if I explain something. It’s not right if they don’t.

There are now 32 teams in the Europa League. Ten Hag said, “I think there are two things: the format we have to take this experience, but one thing is for sure: every match is important and every goal is important.”

In January, only the first eight teams will be able to enter. However, you can still win this game even if you’re in the first 24.

It’s also clear that there are too many games and challenges, which is something we’ve talked about a lot.

“There are too many players, which is bad for football.” It might work for an ad. It’s impossible to avoid a limit, though.
