After Manchester United’s most recent loss, Jadon Sancho made it abundantly evident that he was enjoying his time at Chelsea.
On Sunday, the Red Devils exhibited a terrible performance at Old Trafford over Spurs. They had the worst conceivable start to the season following Brennan Johnson’s early goal.
Things became very complicated once Bruno Fernandes was sent off, and just after the break, Dejan Kulusevski doubled the score. Dominic Solanke helped Spurs complete an overwhelming victory in the closing moments.
Due to the reverse, United is now tied for the poorest start in Premier League history, sitting 12th in the standings. Additionally, it sees Erik ten Hag—who is already walking on very thin ice—face increasing pressure.
Sancho, who is now on loan at Chelsea in preparation for a permanent move next summer, made the decision to get into a little mischief, however it’s unclear if this was done on purpose. He retweeted a tweet from the Blues’ official account shortly after the Old Trafford full-time whistle.
It featured a picture of him and teammate Cole Palmer having fun after Chelsea defeated Brighton 4–2. A cheerful emoji and a blue heart were also used as captions.
Sancho has had a successful start to life at Stamford Bridge. In as many games for Chelsea, he has already tallied three assists. Due to a close VAR offside call, he was also denied his first goal for the team.
After making a strong start, he commented, “In general, I was just happy to play at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player for the first time.” It was an amazing sensation, and I was grateful for the fans’ support.
