Marcus Rashford might be sidelined for “some weeks,” according to Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.
Rashford was oddly left out of Villa’s starting lineup for their FA Cup semi-final loss to Crystal Palace, which ended in a 3-0 loss.
In Villa’s most recent game, a 2-1 loss to Manchester City, the Manchester United player on loan had started.
“He’s hurt,” Emery declared.
He sustained an injury this week, and during our exam yesterday, we discovered that he had a hamstring injury.
“At first, he is injured and will likely be unavailable for a few weeks, but we will try to test him every game to see how he is progressing.”
Rashford might have made his final appearance in claret and blue this season, considering he is only on loan until the conclusion of the campaign.
However, if Villa exercises their option to purchase Rashford permanently for £40 million, he might return to Villa Park for the 2025–2026 season.
Crystal Palace, full-time Aston Villa 3-0
When the final whistle blows, Crystal Palace has succeeded and will advance to the FA Cup final!
And nobody can deny that they deserve to win!
At Wembley, Oliver Glasner’s team was one point ahead of Unai Emery’s team, who were unable to generate any clear-cut opportunities.
In the first half, Eberechi Eze broke the tie, and after the interval, Ismaila Sarr helped himself to a double.
Palace has already guaranteed their first place in the final since 2016.
They lost to Manchester United in 1990 and again 26 years later, making this their third trip to the final.
They will now play the victor of Nottingham Forest vs. Manchester City.
Objective! The Crystal Palace 3-0 (Ismaila Sarr) Aston Villa
Crystal Palace has undoubtedly advanced to the FA Cup final thanks to Ismaila Sarr!
In the fourth minute of stoppage time, the winger scored the game’s second goal.
Sarr grabbed the through pass from Eddie Nketiah and sent it into the bottom left corner.
The Eagles put on an incredible show!
