EFL club has submitted a surprise bid to sign a 17-goal striker with Champions League experience

According to reports, Norwich City has made an attempt to sign Kasper Høgh, a striker for Bodo/Glimt.

With 17 goals in 28 Eliteserien games this season, the 25-year-old has been dominating the Norwegian division.

Høgh will play in the Champions League match between Bodo/Glimt and Man City on Tuesday night.

According to the Telegraph, Norwich, a Championship team, has submitted a proposal for the striker.

It is also thought that other Championship competitors are showing interest in the Dane.

Since moving from the Danish Superliga to Bodo/Glimt, Høgh has scored 41 goals in 81 games.

Replacement striker for Norwich

Amidst Josh Sargent transfer rumors, Canaries manager Philippe Clement is trying to strengthen his offense.

As he tries to force a transfer away from Norwich, USA international Sargent is now at a standstill with the team.

He is still not in the starting lineup and declined to play in the FA Cup match against Walsall.

Clement stated: “Josh sent me a message [on Saturday] evening saying he would not be available because of transfer things in his head.”We clearly do not want this, and there will be repercussions. The club has made it very plain to Josh and his agency that he will not be moving during this transfer window, but we still need to talk about it internally.”

The club will need to decide on his future now that he has adopted this position, even if his contract doesn’t end until 2028.

According to reports, MLS team Toronto has made a proposal of about £13 million to sign Sargent.

At the moment, Norwich is struggling to stay in the Championship.

They have only won seven games this season and are in 22nd place after 27 games.

The Canaries’ next game is Tuesday at West Brom.
