The Spanish media has reported that Man Utd has reached an agreement to purchase Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez.
The 22-year-old was a member of Real Madrid’s team that took home the Champions League and La Liga titles two years ago.
Nonetheless, he became well-known with Girona throughout the previous two seasons, particularly during the final campaign managed by Michel.
The youthful player, who currently makes a meagre salary of about £280,000 annually, has a contract with the La Liga team that expires in 2027.
This summer, Real Madrid has the option to repurchase the player for a meagre 8 million euros (Cadena Ser).
According to sources from Spain, which The Express quoted, the European champions will trigger the provision to bring Gutierrez back.
They have, however, already reached an agreement to sell the left back to Manchester United for £34 million, with the goal of replacing Shaw.
