Rangers and Celtic drew in the November Premier Sports Cup semifinal.
The team led by Brendan Rodgers drew Rangers for the Hampden showpiece semi after Celtic defeated Partick Thistle on Sunday.
Despite Rangers being second-bottom in the Scottish Premiership standings, Motherwell or St Mirren would have been Celtic’s ideal draw.
But when Rodgers found out Celtic had drawn Rangers, his reaction to it really upset the St Mirren supporters.
Brendan Rodgers’ response to Celtic drawing Rangers causes St. Mirren supporters to cry.
Rodgers outraged some tiny Buddies online with his interview just after the game.
“It was either going to be them [Rangers], Motherwell, or.. someone else,” Rodgers responded when asked about the draw.
Additionally, it seems that a slight memory loss has unquestionably prompted the St. Mirren support.
An account from St. Mirren that is always crying over Celtic posted:
“Goga will ram those words down his throat on cup final day,” @StuartY07081959 retorted.
There were numerous such remarks along these lines, but in truth, it’s more likely that Rodgers had a mental breakdown just after a tense cup quarterfinal, and it’s not as serious as these moron’s portrayal suggests.
Rodgers will have the final say (kind of).
Even though they are a very sensitive group of football supporters, St. Mirren will only advance as far as the semi-final.
