Curtis Jones breaks silence after being shown red card for Abdoulaye Doucoure brawl in Merseyside derby

After his team’s Merseyside derby match against Everton ended in a 2-2 draw, Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones took the opportunity to speak out after being sent off for his team’s performance.

Immediately following the conclusion of the game, Jones was dismissed from the game for pushing Abdoulaye Doucoure, which resulted in a large-scale brawl between both teams’ players.

After receiving a yellow card for a late tackle on during the match itself, the England midfielder was given a second yellow card for his actions.

Jones’ actions occurred after the Frenchman had run towards the away section of supporters and gestured towards them. Doucoure was also shown a second yellow card as a result of Jones’ actions.

Following the blowing of the final whistle, referee Michael Oliver also removed Arne Slot, the manager of Liverpool, and Sipke Hulsoff, Slot’s assistant, from their positions.

Approximately one hour and twenty minutes after the conclusion of the match, Doucoure broke his silence regarding the 2-2 draw by posting photos of himself celebrating as well as banners that were displayed inside Goodison Park on Twitter.

“Passion, determination, and desire,” he wrote in his essay. It is Goodison Park.

Due to the fact that Everton will be moving into the new Bramley Moore Dock ground beginning with the start of the following season, the Merseyside derby was the final matches to be played at the iconic home stadium.

After the Toffees had taken the lead in the first half thanks to Beto, they were able to salvage a point thanks to a dramatic equalizer scored by James Tarkowski in the final minute of stoppage time.

In the present moment, Liverpool midfielder Jones has broken his silence. Jones, like Doucoure, will be suspended for his team’s next match, despite the fact that the punishment will be handed down after the final whistle has blown.

He took to Twitter and simply wrote, “Always together!” in response to the Doucoure incident. He refused to comment on the circumstance.

A photo of Liverpool’s number 17 dribbling the ball in front of Everton’s Jesper Lindstrom was included in Jones’s attachment. The photo also included Liverpool’s celebrations after Mohamed Salah scored a goal to put them ahead 2-0.

As a result of the fact that an object appeared to be thrown from the stands before striking Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who had joined the brawl, PGMOL chief Keith Hackett believes that the altercation will be subject to an investigation by the police.

“Both teams will be charged for failing to control their players,” he said in an interview with Football Insider. “We will see the result of that later today without a doubt.”

Additionally, the police will be conducting an investigation to determine who threw the bottle. This morning, they will be looking through video clips to see if they can identify the person responsible for the crime.
