According to talkSPORT, Cristian Romero, a defender for Tottenham, is amenable to a move to Atletico Madrid.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico, is a huge fan of his fellow Argentine.

Spurs are open to a bid because Romero is approaching the end of his two-year deal in north London.
In 2021, the 26-year-old initially joined on loan from Atalanta, and a year later, his transfer became permanent.
Over the course of four seasons and 115 Spurs appearances across all competitions, he helped Argentina win the World Cup.
His playing time has been restricted, though, as he has missed nearly half of their games this season due to injury concerns.
Romero also seemed to criticise Spurs’ ownership during their December 4–3 home loss to Chelsea, in which he was injured.
He apologised for his remarks after apparently criticising the club’s investment level in comparison to its rivals.
Atletico may be his next club in the summer, given his Spurs contract expires in 2027.
According to reports, their bitter rivals Real Madrid sent top scout Juni Calafat to watch Romero at the North London derby in September.
The Spanish powerhouses are also interested in William Saliba, a defender for Arsenal.
Atletico, Madrid, and current leaders Barcelona are all competing for the La Liga crown this season.

Barca, who have a game in hand and take on Osasuna tonight, is four points ahead of Simeone’s team in third place.
Spurs, however, are now in 14th place in the Premier League and will visit Chelsea on Thursday.
Their present league position makes it appear impossible for them to qualify for European football the following season.
If they win the Europa League, though, this will be different. Spurs will play Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarterfinals the following month.
