Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has released an injury report for his players ahead of Monday’s Championship game against Middlesbrough.
Birmingham’s defeat against the Lions was their first in the Championship since losing 3-0 to Watford on New Year’s Day.
Meanwhile, Middlesbrough will be determined to beat Blues in order to stay up with fellow title contenders Coventry City, who defeated Kim Hellberg’s side on February 16.
Chris Davies delivers a good Kai Wagner update ahead of Birmingham City vs Middlesbrough.

Birmingham had a horrible day at work when they lost to Millwall, as the three goals they conceded were accompanied by the red card given to Jhon Solis, who received two cautions.
Meanwhile, the Blues believed that full-back Kai Wagner had seriously injured his shoulder after he collided with Lions’ Ryan Leonard before being replaced by substitute Ethan Laird.
In an interview with Birmingham Live on Friday, Davies shared additional details.Kai Wagner is better than we expected. We were anxious after the game that he had done something catastrophic to his shoulder, but it appears to be simply a big knock, quite painful, and nothing that will keep him out for long. “That was the best news I received yesterday.”
The 29-year-old was one of six players added to the Blues’ roster during the winter transfer window, while Patrick Roberts’ loan move from Sunderland was converted into a permanent contract.
Wagner has made nine Championship appearances since joining St Andrew’s from Major League Soccer team Philadelphia Union, recording one assist in the process.
The left-back also scored his first goal in English football, helping Birmingham upset Cambridge United 3-2 in the FA Cup third round.
Birmingham City can do themselves a world of good with a victory over Middlesbrough.

Prior to their defeat by Millwall, the Blues had an eight-game unbeaten record in the Championship, with victories over Norwich City, Leicester City, Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Coventry.
Birmingham’s defeat to the Lions left them six points behind the play-off places heading into the weekend’s fixtures, and they will likely have more ground to make up by the time they host Middlesbrough on Monday.
A win over Boro, who still have a chance of securing automatic promotion, might give Davies’ side the confidence they need to beat Wrexham, Southampton, and Bristol City to a top-six berth.
Meanwhile, Hellberg’s side may be apprehensive as they travel to St Andrew’s having not won since a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on February 9, instead losing to Coventry and drawing with Oxford United and Leicester in their last three games.
Following their battle with Boro, Birmingham’s March schedule includes games against Charlton Athletic, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United, and Derby County.
The forthcoming travels to Charlton and Derby could be particularly difficult for Blues, as the Addicks still need points to avoid relegation, while the Rams are striving to defeat Davies’ team in the play-off battle.
Birmingham’s Championship season has not been easy since last season’s victorious League One campaign, but a win over Middlesbrough might set the tone for future success.
