Chelsea transfer madness continues with ‘deal confirmed’ for second Portuguese star

A ‘deal confirmed’ has been reached between Chelsea and a second Portuguese star player, following the signing of Geovany Quenda.

Despite Manchester United’s interest in Quenda, Chelsea has reached an agreement with Sporting CP to transfer him. Quenda was already a target for Manchester United.

It’s possible that the deal to bring the promising young player to Stamford Bridge could be worth as much as forty million pounds.

This young player, who was coached by Ruben Amorim during the current campaign, is scheduled to continue playing for Sporting until the following season. He is anticipated to sign a seven-year contract with Sporting, with the possibility of extending it for an additional year, before officially joining his new team in the summer of 2026.

As a result of the fact that they have another agreement in place with Sporting for Dario Essugo, who is currently on loan at Las Palmas, Chelsea are not finished with that.

According to CNN Portugal via Mais Futebol, Essugo, who is twenty years old, will join the Blues at the conclusion of the current season.

According to reports, the midfielder is expected to sign a seven-year contract after the transfer, which is estimated to be worth £19 million.

During the current season, he has played for Las Palmas 17 times and has scored one goal for the team.

Two young Portuguese players have been brought in by Chelsea, with one of Quenda’s former Sporting youth coaches drawing comparisons between him and Bukayo Saka, who is currently playing for Arsenal.

“When Amorim arrived, it was clear as water that Quenda could fit into that [3-4-2-1 formation] very well,” said Fabio Roque, who coached Quenda in the Sporting academy. “Quenda was a very important player for Sporting.”

It is with great dedication that he engages in defensive duels and defensive moments. It is because of the vast amount of space that he covers on the pitch that he is able to play so well there. During times when he is on the defensive, Geo is extremely demanding of himself.

It is important for him to close the game, recover quickly, and win defensive duels for his teammates. When I think about it, I am reminded of the time when Bukayo Saka was just starting out in his career and playing full-back. Geovany Quenda is the only person of his kind.

When compared to any other player I have worked with, he stands out. The way he plays football has the potential to leave an indelible mark on the game. Among the players who were born in 2007, we are discussing Lamine Yamal and Estevao Willian, who are expected to join Chelsea in the summer of 2025. These two players are considered to be among the best of their generation.
