Chelsea ‘ready to axe’ 23 players in stunning £427m clear-out as full transfer list revealed

As many as twenty-three players might potentially leave Stamford Bridge during the next summer transfer window, which is expected to be another busy summer for Chelsea in terms of player transfers.

In the current Premier League standings, the team coached by Enzo Maresca is now in sixth place, and they are currently one point behind Manchester City in the competition for Champions League football for the upcoming season.

In recognition of the outstanding accomplishments of Premier League teams in European tournaments during the current season, the English top flight has been granted five spots in the premier club competition that will take place in Europe during the next season.

The UEFA Conference League is another competition that Chelsea is participating in, and it seems like they are the overwhelming favourites to win that competition.

In addition, Maresca’s team will compete with City in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer. The tournament will take place after the completion of the Premier League season. Manchester City will also be competing in the tournament.

Since BlueCo took over the West London club from Roman Abramovich in 2022, Todd Boehly became Chelsea’s chairman. Since then, the Stamford Bridge club has grown increasingly well-known for their actions in the transfer market, which have resulted in a significant turnover of players.

Over the course of the previous summer alone, eleven players were recruited into Chelsea either permanently or on loan, while twenty-five members of the first-team squad were released without return.

Which players on Chelsea’s roster may depart during the summer?
There have been new rumours that suggest that Chelsea might lose as many as 23 players this summer in an effort to earn €500 million (£427 million).

According to a list that was provided by Fichajes, there are a few notable names that could be leaving the team. These names include Wesley Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Jadon Sancho, among others.

Chelsea has the ability to purchase Sancho from Manchester United this summer in order to turn his loan move into a permanent one. However, the Blues also have the ability to pay United £5 million if they do not desire to proceed with this deal.

Fofana and Mudryk are among the players who are mentioned as having uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge. Other players who are mentioned include Christopher Nkunku, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder who only joined from Leicester City last summer, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, Noni Madueke, striker Marc Guiu, who also joined from Barcelona last summer, David Datro Fofana, and Reece James.

In addition, the study highlights players who are presently on loan at other clubs and who have the potential to be sold this summer in order to facilitate the movement of finances.

The following players are included in this group: defence Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Andrey Santos, Joao Felix, Lesley Ugochukwu, Carney Chukwuemeka, Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Mike Penders, Deivid Washington, Caleb Wiley, Alfie Gilchrist, and Bashir Humphreys.

According to the source, Chelsea is hoping that the sum of about €500 million (£427 million) that is earned from these transactions would enable the club to reinvest in order to make other recruits and to completely revamp the Stamford Bridge roster for the upcoming season.
