This summer, Chelsea has the chance to add several new players.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder for Leicester City, is well-known to new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca from their time together at the King Power Stadium last year. The Foxes returned to the Premier League after winning the Championship title on their maiden attempt.
They could potentially see one of their important players move to Stamford Bridge, but they also lost their manager Maresca to Chelsea when the London team selected him to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano on X claims that the Blues have “enquired” about Dewsbury-Hall’s availability and may use Brighton & Hove Albion’s swoop to acquire him.
In an attempt to entice the Hinckley native to AMEX Stadium, the Seagulls are getting ready for life under new head coach Fabian Hürzeler. As part of the transaction, the Seagulls are ready to use Jakub Moder, and both players’ physicals were scheduled. But now that Maresca is considering a reunion, Chelsea is posing a threat to them.
Dewsbury-Hall, who the Daily Mail estimates is worth approximately £40 million, has stated that he has lived here since he was a little child but has been silent about his future plans. I adore every aspect of the club. I was able to play for the first team when I became older. I’m content. I’ve never explicitly stated that I wish to quit. That kind of thing is outside my purview. With football, you never know. The season is about to begin, so we’ll see.
“Enzo was a fantastic manager. It didn’t surprise me that he was in demand since I honestly envision him rising to the position of top manager. After experiencing such success, it is strange to have to replace a manager, but that is football.
“It is never too late to learn something new. In the training ground’s corridor, I ran into Steve Cooper. He is indeed a kind dude. Extremely articulate, and I got the impression he was driven for the position. I am therefore pleased with the appointment.
“We are aware that [the point deduction] might occur. Social media serves as a reminder that we are only human. But we have no control over it. Regardless of what occurs, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are in the greatest possible shape when we take the pitch.”
Additionally, he wants to catch Gareth Southgate’s attention regarding England: “That’s the goal. I believe I have the capacity to at least be considered. I don’t understand why I couldn’t be vying for a spot in the Premier League if I was performing well. All the guys have my respect, but I think I could offer something to the group. Perhaps if I perform well for my club, I’ll be invited to play for England.”
Dewsbury-Hall, a Chelsea target, has been a member of Leicester’s team his entire career and progressed through their system.
In addition to his 17 goals from 129 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes, he has previously spent loan stints at Blackpool and Luton Town to gain experience.
