Raheem Sterling was unable to negotiate a move away from Chelsea this summer.
Raheem Sterling’s next actions after failing to gain a move away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window have revealed, with the club preparing to take extreme measures.
Chelsea added numerous new players this summer, including Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho, among others.
However, the Blues offloaded a large number of players as they balanced their books for the 2025/26 season.
Noni Madueke transferred to Arsenal, Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan, and Joao Felix joined Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, to mention a few exits.
Sterling, on the other hand, was unable to find a new club this summer, despite being connected with Fulham and Crystal Palace in the dying hours of the transfer market.
As a result, Sterling will train away from the first team at Chelsea until the January transfer window.

According to The Times, a move abroad is ‘unlikely’ given the player’s desire to remain in the UK.
Sterling is expected to wait until January for a new opportunity, which could mean a stint on the sidelines.
Enzo Maresca has not considered the 30-year-old in his plans and has not confirmed whether the players who have been practicing separately from the first squad at the club’s training facility would be reintegrated.
“No idea at the moment,” he responded.
“I do not know. You understand that they are not even with us. They are training at separate times and on various pitches. So, I have no notion.
“We will see. When the window ends, we’ll see and make a decision.”

Sterling, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City for £47.5 million in 2022, is thought to be the club’s highest earning in terms of base income, taking home £300,000 each week.
The winger has made 81 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, but has not featured for them since the 2023/24 season, having spent last season on loan at Arsenal.
He played 28 games for Arsenal and scored one goal.
