Chelsea have ‘total agreement’ for signing – Blues ‘gave in’ to club’s demand to secure deal for player

We reported on Argentinean rumours on Monday, claiming that Boca Juniors and Chelsea had reached an agreement for Aaron Anselmino to join the former for a “exorbitant amount” of $18 million (£14.2 million).

Additionally, it was said that the Blues were settling on a payment plan and assessing Boca Juniors’ request to have the 19-year-old placed back on a one-year loan agreement.

According to Olé, Chelsea has agreed to the Argentine club’s conditions in order to sign the defender during the summer transfer window. A $18 million deal between the two teams was reached, and Boca Juniors said it was “impossible to reject.”

After completing the club’s youth programme, Anselmino broke through into the main squad a year ago and has since made ten appearances. Juan Román Riquelme, the president of Boca Juniors, has agreed to sell the centre back to Chelsea, but he wants to keep him for a long.
Ten days earlier, Enzo Maresca’s team made an offer to send the player to Europe for the summer, but his club preferred to keep him until at least the following summer. This had prevented his sale to the club in west London.

According to sources close to the negotiations, Olé has learned that Chelsea has finally achieved a “total agreement” after they “caved in” and agreed to the conditions set forward by the South American team.

Stated differently, Anselmino will be allowed to remain at Boca Juniors until June 2025 by the Blues, provided that he is selected and receives regular minutes. In December, Chelsea will have the option to end his visit.
