Champions League manager agrees to take Celtic position with one condition.

The Hoops are looking for a new manager after Brendan Rodgers abruptly resigned following a 3-1 loss to table-topping Hearts. Despite Celtic’s succession planning, his exit surprised them.

That is why they have failed to identify a suitable replacement, with 73-year-old Martin O’Neill serving as the temporary manager. The plan is to introduce a new head coach during the upcoming international break.

with an Old Firm victory over Rangers last weekend, reports surfaced that O’Neill may be given the position until the end of the season, but this chatter has died down with a 3-1 midweek Europa League loss to Midtjylland.

However, O’Neill may stay in his position after the international break, as one of Celtic’s chosen candidates to replace the vacancy is unwilling to make the transfer immediately.

Knutsen wants to see out the Champions League run.

The guy in question is Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen, whose team is competing in the Champions League while also fighting for the Norwegian title domestically.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, the Norwegian strategist is interested in assuming the Celtic post, but he wants to complete Bodo/Glimt’s Champions League campaign before heading to Glasgow.

Defending Eliteserien champions Bodo/Glimt are one point behind league leaders Viking with three games remaining in the season. In the Champions League, they are 29th in the league phase table after losing all four of their opening games.

However, their impressive performance in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham demonstrated that they can make life difficult for larger teams. They are only two points behind Napoli for the final playoff spot.

Knutsen’s contract expires at the end of the year, so if Bodo/Glimt are still in the running for qualifying following their games against Juventus and Dortmund in December, he will need to agree to an extension.
