Celtics star Chris Sutton responds when Roy Keane and three Rangers players are added to the SPFL “flop” list.

Numerous well-known players have represented Celtic but have found it difficult to handle the pressure once they put on the uniform.

Although Celtic has had its share, Rangers has recently improved those figures in light of their two decades of hardship.

Roy Keane was one individual who briefly played for Celtic. He won at Ibrox and took home two trophies despite spending six months wearing the renowned green and white uniform.

Surprisingly, however, Keane was listed among the SPFL “flops.”

Roy Keane is listed as an SPFL “flop.”

The Warm-Up Podcast’s “flop” list only included well-known players who joined from English teams.

Among the three Rangers players who played were Aaron Ramsey, a penalty miss wonder, and Joey Barton, a loudmouth who has played recently.

Along with the no-nonsense Keane and Brazil flair machine Juninho, former wonderkid Francis Jeffers also made the list.

Sutton claimed that five well-known and successful English footballers who travelled north of the border failed and flopped.

“All right, we have no idea who the five-man list members are. Let’s roll them over, though.

Joey Barton. Is that Robbie Keane or Roy Keane, Keane? Juninho. Is that Gordon, Ramsey? Aaron, perhaps? Francis Jeffers, too. Not even Jeffers comes to mind. Was he at Rangers?

Celtic hero Chris Sutton ranks SPFL ‘flops’ and slams Keane call

Chris Sutton correctly called it “ridiculous” when Keane’s name appeared and placed him at the bottom of the five-man list.

The former striker continued by talking about Juninho, with whom he briefly played, and how he just was unable to gain playing time for “such a strong” Martin O’Neill squad.

“Because I didn’t know Jeffers.” I played with Juninho. My five will be, then. Roy Keane’s presence on this site is absurd.

Steven Naismith: “It makes me uneasy to discuss him in that manner.”

Sutton: “He would knock us all out if we happened to run into him in the street.” I played briefly alongside Roy Keane (fifth) and Juninho (fourth) at Celtic under Martin O’Neill. Not able to get a game. He was a great player. Back then, our team was really strong. We used to bash you, for sure.
