Celtic F.C. legend Chris Sutton responds to 54-year-old Irish football pundit Roy Keane after the names on the SPFL ‘failure’ list, which includes three startling Rangers stars, were disclosed.

Many well-known players have worn the Celtic shirt over the years, but not everyone can bear the strain. While Celtic have had their fair share, Rangers have recently seen more high-profile players fail following two decades of hardship.

Roy Keane was one of the players that briefly played for Celtic. Despite spending only six months in Glasgow, he won two titles, including one at Ibrox. However, in a surprise move, Keane has been named to a new SPFL “flop” list.

The Warm-Up Podcast compiled the contentious list, which only included prominent names who had just joined English clubs. Three Rangers players, Joey Barton, Aaron Ramsey, and Francis Jeffers, were named alongside Keane and Brazilian playmaker Juninho.

Celtic icon Chris Sutton was unimpressed, calling Keane’s nomination “ridiculous” and rating him last on the five-man list. Sutton recalled playing with Juninho in Martin O’Neill’s packed squad, stating that the Brazilian struggled to find playing time in such a quality team.

Sutton ranked the SPFL’s “flops” as follows:

Aaron Ramsey

Francis Jeffers

Joey Barton

Juninho

Roy Keane
