Celtic eventually make the announcement that was expected after win over Rangers.

Celtic has finally made the announcement that had been expected of the Scottish champions following last Sunday.

The victory over the Rangers at Hampden Park provided Celtic with much-needed confidence. This secured their place in the Scottish League Cup final. But, more importantly, it demonstrated that this team is capable of producing results in big games while playing positive football. That hadn’t happened in a long time, since Brendan Rodgers was the team’s manager.

However, it is now time to look forward. Celtic cannot afford to dwell on the past, whether it is Rodgers’ second spell or their victory against the Rangers on Sunday. At Parkhead, time flies quickly, and the focus is constantly on what lies ahead.

Unfortunately for Celtic, they will be without their greatest defender for a long time. Cameron Carter-Vickers suffered an injury the previous time they played in the UEFA Europa League, a 2-1 defeat to Sturm Graz.

In the aftermath, Rodgers predicted that Carter-Vickers would be out for three to five months. However, some media sites have speculated that the absence could go even longer. We can only wish him well in his recovery. However, the American international has been replaced in the club’s UEFA squad.

Celtic finally make announcement that was expected after win vs Rangers

Callum Osmand scored against the Rangers. He came off the bench and caused the opponents a lot of headaches. He scored once and came close several times.

It’s remarkable that he didn’t have a chance when Rodgers was manager. Following Carter-Vickers’ terrible long-term injury, the club has stated that Osmand would replace him on their UEFA player list.

Celtic seems to have made the right decision here. Osmand obviously has something about him and deserves more opportunities.
