People took notice of Carlos Baleba’s social media post.
Before Manchester United vs. Brighton, Carlos Baleba’s now-deleted post grabbed everyone’s attention, sending social media into overdrive.
Man United’s historic victory over Liverpool on Sunday gave them back-to-back league victories for the first time since Ruben Amorim was hired.
When they return to the Premier League on Saturday, they will be looking to win three straight games against Brighton, who defeated Newcastle United 2-1 in their most recent match.
Baleba, who was heavily linked to a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window, will play in the league match at Old Trafford.
According to reports, Amorim tried to sign Baleba for the 2025–2026 season after identifying him as a transfer target.
As Amorim searches for a midfield player who can hasten his team’s recovery, he is still on Man United’s radar.

Baleba uploaded a matchday graphic leading up to Man United’s league match vs Brighton.
“Coming to Old Trafford,” the 21-year-old captioned the photo with an emoji of a laughing face.
It seems like Baleba’s caption alludes to rumors that he would join Man United in the summer.
Fans on social media took notice of his initial post, which he quickly removed before reposting with a new caption.
“‘Coming to old Trafford’ bro is still dreaming it,” one X user commented.
Another replied, “Bro is twerking for us but I am taking Wharton over him.”
“He wants us so bad,” said a third commenter, and “It’s so obvious now he wants to be a United player,” said another.
Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in the summer of 2023 and has since made 86 appearances for the team in all competitions.
Given Man United’s interest, the Cameroon international might be Brighton’s next high-profile exit.
The Red Devils will need to spend a lot of money to obtain the excellent midfield player because the Seagulls value him at an incredible £100 million.
