Carabao Cup fourth-round draw in full as Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal discover fate

The Carabao Cup’s fourth round draw has been done, with Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea among the clubs to discover their destiny for the October matches.

Liverpool’s Carabao Cup defence will continue away to Brighton, while other fourth-round highlights include Tottenham against Manchester City.

Liverpool and Arsenal won on Wednesday night, confirming 15 of the 16 clubs in the draw. Arne Slot’s squad opened their trophy defence by rallying from behind to defeat West Ham, while a heavily rotated Arsenal side proved too strong for Bolton Wanderers.

City’s match versus Tottenham is a rematch of the 2021 final, which Pep Guardiola’s team won 1-0. Manchester United will face Leicester in one of the other all-Premier League matches, while Crystal Palace will travel to Aston Villa.

There are three Championship teams remaining in the draw. Sheffield Wednesday are away to Brentford, Stoke at Southampton, and Preston North End visit Arsenal.

There is still one game remaining, with Newcastle and AFC Wimbledon meeting on October 1. Their first game was rescheduled because floods in South London rendered the Dons’ ground unsuitable, and the victors will face Chelsea at home in round four.

Chelsea and Manchester United both won comfortably in round three. The Blues scored five goals against Barrow, while United defeated Barnsley 7-0 the previous week.

The fourth-round games will take place at the end of October. However, all 16 sides will be looking forward to the final at Wembley Stadium in March, albeit with differing levels of confidence.

“A great draw,” ex-Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp stated after the draw on Sky Sports. “Tottenham and Manchester City have had some fantastic games throughout the years. Tottenham must go strong; there is a huge chance.”
