After losing out on the Ballon d’Or, Bruno Fernandes responded on social media.
The 30 finalists for the coveted Ballon d’Or award were announced Thursday afternoon.
The cut included heavy favourites Mohamed Salah, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Ousmane Dembele.
Virgil van Dijk, Viktor Gyokeres, Cole Palmer, Florian Wirtz, Scott McTominay, Alexis Mac Allister, and Harry Kane were also among them.
Despite his valiant efforts for the Red Devils during the 24–25 season, Manchester United captain Fernandes was unable to find a spot.
Fernandes still managed to collect 19 goals and 19 assists in 57 games across all competitions during United’s really awful season.
The Portuguese spoke out on social media Thursday night in response to the Ballon d’Or nominations.
Fernandes retweeted McTominay’s nomination on his official Instagram account, writing, “Buzzing for you my friend.”
