Bristol City are interested in signing Delano Burgzorg from Middlesbrough this January.
According to The Northern Echo, Gerhard Struber has added the forward to their shortlist of prospects as they seek to strengthen the squad during the winter transfer window.
Burgzorg has been a continuous presence in the Boro side this season, although he has yet to establish himself as a starter.
The 27-year-old, who is thought to receive a base wage of £20,000 per week, is in his second season at the Riverside, having started 34 of his 64 Championship outings.
So far this season, the attacker has one goal and two assists, with Kim Hellberg’s side in contention for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Bristol City targets Delano Burgzorg.

Bristol City are admirers of the 27-year-old as they want to improve their attacking options in January.
It is believed that Middlesbrough is open to bids for the forward, but only if he can be replaced.
The Teesside club may need to trade players to make room for new arrivals, with reports of interest in Jeremy Sarmiento, who might replace Burgzorg.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that Middlesbrough had reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Leo Castledine, who will be their first signing of the window.
It remains to be seen what kind of cash will be required to persuade the Championship side to sell to the Robins, since the player’s contract runs until the summer of 2028.
Bristol City are 10th in the table heading into this weekend’s third round FA Cup match against Watford at Ashton Gate.
Meanwhile, Middlesbrough are in second place and will face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday at 3 p.m.
The sale of Delano Burgzorg could be advantageous for both Middlesbrough and Bristol City.
If Middlesbrough can sell Burgzorg and then bring in someone like Sarmiento, the deal might benefit all parties involved.
The forward has been a helpful squad player for Boro since his arrival last season, but he is not a major figure in the side, so his departure would not be a huge loss.
However, he could still be useful for Struber’s team in the second half of the season as they look to keep their play-off spot from the previous season.
He has Championship experience and should be able to fit into the Robins’ scheme, so if the deal goes through, it might be a win-win for all parties.
