NEWS BREAKING: Paul Pogba was spotted at Old Trafford today, signing autographs for fans as his return to Old Trafford is about to be finalised. In light of the most recent transfer report, the champion is pleased to be back.
Through a series of posts, Paul Pogba has teased fans of Manchester United by implying that a phenomenal third stint at the club might be on the horizon.
Since the middle of November, when he parted ways with Juventus, the French player who won the World Cup has been without a club.
According to The Athletic, he has been working out in Miami, where he has displayed an extremely toned physique in one of the videos, and he is hoping to join a club this month.
Earlier in the season, his four-year drug suspension was reduced to 18 months, which means that he will be able to return to the field of play beginning in March.
His most recent social media activity has suggested that he might be joining United for a third time, despite the fact that he has been linked with other clubs such as Marseille, Manchester City, and Corinthians.
On Monday evening, Pogba shared a cartoon that confounded many people by depicting him and Amad Diallo standing next to each other while wearing Manchester United shirts.
The picture shows Paul Pogba donning the number six jersey that he wore during his second stint with the Manchester United football club.
On the subsequent slide of his Stories, Pogba uploaded a photograph of himself looking out over Miami from a high-rise building, accompanied by the caption, “Let’s see what’s coming…”
Given the fact that he left on a free transfer in 2022, six years after joining Juventus for £89 million, it would undoubtedly be one of the most shocking transfers in the history of the Premier League in recent times.
During his first season with United, he led the club to victory in both the English Football League Cup and the UEFA Europa League. However, this would turn out to be the only trophy he would win during his time with the club.
United also made it to the final of the Europa League in the 2020-21 season, but they were ultimately defeated by Villarreal in a lengthy penalty shootout that took place in Gdansk.
Over the course of his second stint, Pogba appeared in a total of 226 matches, during which he scored 39 goals and assisted on 51 others.
However, its inability to live up to that enormous transfer fee, in addition to occasional flashes of form, contributed to United’s deteriorating standards. This is something that cannot be denied.
Fans jeered him and chanted “f**k off Pogba” during a home game against Norwich, which brought an end to his time with the club in a manner that was more than disgraceful.
And when he hobbled off with a calf injury just ten minutes into a 4-0 loss at Liverpool in April, that would prove to be a fittingly underwhelming final act at the end of his career.
Given that negotiations regarding Pogba’s contract renewal had never been able to get off the ground, there was never much of a chance that he would extend his time with United.
Pogba was initially acquired by United from the French club Le Havre when he was 16 years old. In October 2011, Sir Alex Ferguson gave the young tyro his first game for United, which was a League Cup match against Leeds United.
Nevertheless, in the summer of 2012, he moved to Juventus after a disagreement with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and in the midst of intense competition for positions in United’s midfield.
