Following the disappointing title match, Premier League supporters labeled Manchester City’s match against Arsenal as “boresome,” according to Brentford manager Thomas Frank. Frank, like most others, was unimpressed with the match as neither team scored during a lackluster performance at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite being hyped as the season’s biggest match, City vs. Arsenal ended up being a footnote to an otherwise exciting weekend of Premier League action. Throughout the ninety minutes of play, there were just three attempts on goal between the two championship contenders, resulting in a disastrous goalless draw.

Despite the fact that neither City nor Arsenal played at their brilliant best, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta called the match a “thrilling” one. His fellow Premier League manager Frank, who expressed dissatisfaction with the caliber of entertainment provided, disagreed.

Frank said, “To be fair, not really,” in response to the question of whether he had enjoyed the game. I was excited to watch the game, of course. Two of the top three teams in the world, not just in the Premier League at the moment, are [City and Arsenal].

I saw it, but I felt like they overshadowed each other. I have the utmost respect for Arteta and Pep [Guardiola] and the work they do. The same tactics, adjustments, and playing style. In all honesty, the conclusion was dull. However, there’s no denying that all of the elite players were there.

This weekend’s Brentford Premier League match provided far more entertainment than the City-Arsenal match. At the Gtech Community Stadium, the Bees dominated a shaky Manchester United, but when Mason Mount scored the game’s first goal in the 96th minute, it appeared as though they would lose. After a last-gasp equalizer by Kristoffer Ajer for the west Londoners, the points would ultimately be shared.

Given that Brentford is engaged in a fierce relegation battle, this could prove to be a crucial point at the end of the season. With just eight games remaining in the season, Frank’s team is five points above the relegation zone going into the midweek schedule. On Wednesday night, Brentford takes on a struggling Brighton & Hove Albion. The following weekend, they travel to Villa Park to play Aston Villa.
