Breaking News: Mauricio Pochettino has already agreed his next job after shock Chelsea exit

On Tuesday, Pochettino departed Chelsea with mutual consent.

In football, Mauricio Pochettino has already decided on his next position following his unexpected departure from Chelsea.

After just one year in charge, the Argentinian left Stamford Bridge on Tuesday with mutual consent.

After leading Chelsea to five straight victories and sixth place and Europa League qualification, Pochettino left the team in the end of the season, but the club’s end-of-season review concluded that a new manager was required.

After his team’s season-ending match against Bournemouth, he had remained in London. Notably, he did not take part in the customary lap of honour for supporters, but he later claimed that the club’s press officer had demanded that he finish his media duties.

A lot of offers will undoubtedly come in for the 52-year-old this summer as he plans to return to club or even international football.

But Pochettino had already committed to return to Soccer Aid this year, where he will coach the Rest of the World team, before leaving Chelsea.

Coincidentally, Chelsea greats Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard are slated to play in this year’s Soccer Aid match at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino, his longtime assistant coach Jesus Perez, and Line of Duty actor Martin Compston led a Rest of the World team that included players like Usain Bolt, Tommy Fury, Francesco Totti, Hernan Crespo, and Robbie Keane at last year’s Soccer Aid, which raises money for the charity UNICEF UK.

Speaking about his summertime plans last week, the Argentinian highlighted his commitments with Soccer Aid and noticeably left Chelsea out of the conversation.

“I have too many things to take care of,” he remarked. We have the Soccer Aid game, and I didn’t plan [a vacation] because I had other things to attend to.

“I have to see my son in Tarragona, close to Barcelona, and I have to travel to Argentina to see my parents after five years apart. I’m going to be busy with too many things. Not many true holidays
