During the January transfer window, Mathys Tel, a striker for Bayern Munich, was linked to Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

According to reports, Aston Villa has joined the group of teams interested in Mathys Tel, who is connected to Manchester United.

Due to a lack of playing time at the Bundesliga team this season, the Bayern Munich striker was linked to a move out of Bavaria in January. Vincent Kompany, the manager of Bayern, has decided to use Harry Kane, a former Tottenham striker, for the majority of the team’s 2024–2025 games.

According to reports on Wednesday, Spurs, Chelsea, and Arsenal are vying for United’s attention if they want to sign the Frenchman before the window closes. The Reds, who are constrained by their PSR situation, would benefit from Tel going on loan, according to reports.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently revealed that Villa Park is showing interest. It comes as Ollie Watkins’ future is uncertain following Arsenal’s approach for the England international, while Villans striker Jhon Duran appears destined to depart the Birmingham-based team for Al-Nassr this month.

According to The Athletic, Duran passed a medical exam before moving to Saudi Arabia for £63 million. He posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “Aston Villa has also asked for deal conditions: One more club has called today for Mathys Tel.”

According to @FabriceHawkins, Villa is looking for a new striker when Jon Durán left to join Al Nassr. They have reached out to Tel. At the moment, seven clubs are participating.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are United’s two strikers, although neither has made a strong impression since moving to Old Trafford. So far this season, the two have only combined for 11 goals in all competitions.

In contrast, Tel has only recorded one assist and failed to score a goal in 14 games. Kompany hasn’t played the 19-year-old much, though, and United will be hoping that consistent playing time will help him find his scoring touch.
