Breaking News: Manchester United have bid accepted for 18-year-old Ligue 1 prodigy, who wants Real Madrid

Manchester United’s €50 million offer for Leny Yoro has been accepted.

According to reports, Manchester United’s attempt to sign 18-year-old Leny Yoro from Ligue 1 team LOSC Lille was successful; nonetheless, the player would want to play for Real Madrid.
Reputable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Manchester United is interested in Leny Yoro. The LOSC Lille prodigy was offered €50 million by the Premier League’s biggest clubs, and the Ligue 1 team accepted the deal. The 18-year-old would rather play for Real Madrid than Manchester United, though.

The ascent to prominence of Leny Yoro
Since joining LOSC Lille’s first team at the age of sixteen, Leny Yoro has established himself as one of the top young players in the world. Even though he is only eighteen, he has established himself as Les Dogues’ backbone.

In the 2023–24 season, the Frenchman made 44 appearances for Lille in all competitions and contributed three goals. Leny Yoro’s success at the Ligue 1 team, meantime, has not gone unnoticed, drawing interest from a number of prestigious teams throughout Europe, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

In great demand
With Nacho gone as a free agent, Real Madrid will probably search for a center-back during the summer transfer window. Rafa Marin is also close to signing a contract with Serie A team Napoli in the near future. David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger, meanwhile, are past thirty.

Therefore, Real Madrid needs to acquire a young, highly-regarded defensive prospect to play centre back with Eder Militao in the long run. Consequently, Yoro has become a desirable target, and Los Blancos have made an offer to sign him this week. Real Madrid, however, is making a much smaller offer than Manchester United, who are looking to pay €50 million.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s update, LOSC Lille has accepted Manchester United’s offer, indicating that the Ligue 1 team is happy with the price. After Raphael Varane became a free agent, the Red Devils are looking to add a center-back this summer. But Manchester United has a difficult task ahead of them if they want to sign Leny Yoro.

The 18-year-old French talent is willing to wait one additional year to sign a free agency contract with Real Madrid. The current La Liga winners may compare Leny Yoro’s situation to that of Eduardo Camavinga, who was also targeted by Manchester United before joining Los Blancos, according to a different update provided by Fabrizio Romano. Thus, the young player’s most likely future is a transfer to Real Madrid.
