Breaking News: Man Utd has finally agree deal to sign £280,000 a year CL winner – DONE DEAL

The Spanish media has reported that Man Utd has reached an agreement to purchase Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez.

The 22-year-old was a member of Real Madrid’s team that took home the Champions League and La Liga titles two years ago.

Transfer: Agreement reached; Man United and the player are “ready to accept” a £33.9 million transfer, according to reports.

Nonetheless, he became well-known with Girona throughout the previous two seasons, particularly during the final campaign managed by Michel.

The youthful player, who currently makes a meagre salary of about £280,000 annually, has a contract with the La Liga team that expires in 2027.

This summer, Real Madrid has the option to repurchase the player for a meagre 8 million euros (Cadena Ser).

According to sources from Spain, which The Express quoted, the European champions will trigger the provision to bring Gutierrez back.

They have, however, already reached an agreement to sell the left back to Manchester United for £34 million, with the goal of replacing Shaw.

In addition to being a reliable backup last season, Gutierrez also made significant contributions in the attacking third.

He made 35 league starts, with two goals and seven assists, and helped Girona earn a spot in the UEFA Champions League by keeping 12 clean sheets.

Although Luke Shaw has been a devoted member of the Manchester United team, he has shown himself to be extremely prone to injuries.

He only made 12 Premier League starts even throughout Ten Hag’s tenure, and his absences were mostly attributed to muscular issues.

Shaw needs to go, and Gutierrez would be a worthy successor. But in order to join Manchester United next season, the Spaniard will have to give up playing in the CL.
