The social media account of Manchester City poked fun at Liverpool after they won the Premier League.

On the last day of the season, City defeated West Ham 3-1 to win the league. Mohammed Kudus gave the Hammers a goal back, but Rodri secured the three points at the Etihad Stadium with a brace from Phil Foden.

The league title was won by Pep Guardiola’s team with a two-point victory over Arsenal, who had defeated Everton 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Even though Arsenal prevailed, City had a two-point lead, so all Guardiola and company needed to do to win the championship was match the outcome at the Emirates Stadium.

In addition, City created history by being the first team in the history of the Premier League to win four straight league titles. That particular statistic served as the basis for City’s (previously X) post-match tweet on Twitter.

The club’s official account shared a post that said, “This means four,” and it included four emojis of trophies. Although the topic of this post was City’s championship victories, it could also be seen as a jab at Liverpool.

In the past, Liverpool has chanted “This means more” and performed their well-known anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” After leading the title race for most of the season, the Anfield club finished third in the Premier League table, nine points behind City.

Following their joyous title celebrations, City will now be anticipating their season’s last game. The opportunity to complete a double remains as Guardiola and company take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium the following week.
