BREAKING NEWS: Just few days after reporting to international duty, Man United star have sustained a heavy injury blow in His career in training yesterday as He’s set to report back to Old Trafford today to determine the extent of His injury

BREAKING NEWS: Just a few days after reporting to international duty, Man United star experienced a heavy injury blow in his career in training yesterday and is due to report back to Old Trafford today to evaluate the extent of His ailment.

Manchester United are apparently hopeful that Lisandro Martinez will be able to return to action by the end of 2025, as the Argentina international continues to make solid progress in his recovery.

Martinez had a catastrophic knee injury in February, and while he has returned to limited training in recent weeks, the centre-back is yet to resume full sessions with his teammates.

Man United has been hesitant to set a timetable on a possible comeback for the 27-year-old, who has missed the team’s previous 33 matches in all competitions, but according to The Sun, the 20-time English champions anticipate him to be eligible for selection before the end of the year.

According to the report, he could return after the November international break, making him available for the match against Everton on November 24.

Man United will finish next month with a trip to Crystal Palace, and December will begin with a home game against West Ham United, so he might return before the busy holiday season.

Martinez has not been available for Manchester United since February.

Martinez joined Manchester United from Ajax in the summer of 2022, and he has 91 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring three goals and assisting three times.

The Argentine has been a significant loss for head coach Ruben Amorim due to his adaptability for a three-man defence, with Martinez the ideal candidate for the left-sided post in the back three.

Amorim underlined Martinez’s importance earlier this season, noting that the Red Devils “need” the defender.

“It’s really important [seeing Martinez back on the grass], when you have that injury, there is a time when you recover a lot of things really fast, and then there is a boring part where it looks like you don’t go to the next step,” Amorim told ESPN.

“We really miss Licha, especially right now. We miss his aggression, which he exhibits in everything he does. I believe we miss him, but he is always present, in every meeting, every training, and occasionally he stays to watch. I believe we need Licha on this team.”

What other Manchester United players are currently injured?

Noussair Mazraoui is Manchester United’s only other first-team player currently on the treatment table, having missed the team’s last two matches due to an unidentified issue.

Mazraoui, on the other hand, may be eligible for the trip to Liverpool following the October international break, thus Martinez might be the only absentee at Anfield if no players get injured while serving their country.
