Breaking News: Hibs Release Brilliant Celtic Park Statement

There will be up to 7,000 more tickets available for Hibernian’s game against Celtic Park in the Scottish Cup Quarter-Final on Sunday, March 9th.

At first, Hibs were given the usual number of 2,667 tickets, but all of them were gone in just five days. Because so many of their fans wanted tickets, Hibernian pushed for more, and after ongoing talks, they now have a bigger allocation.

Hibs’ Persistence Pays Off

During the ticket sales time, Hibernian kept in close contact with Celtic and asked for more tickets to meet the huge demand from their fans. Hibs kept negotiating even though the first batch sold out quickly, and their hard work has now paid off. The away allocation has been increased by Celtic to up to 7,000 tickets. This means that more Hibs fans will be able to access the game.

The SFA Handbook and Risk in Money

The SFA Handbook was used as a guide for the talks about the increased allocation. It says that the away club must pay the home club for all tickets sent to the away club to be sold. Hibernian knew that getting the bigger group would cost more money, but they were keen to accommodate their fans who had expressed interest in going to the game.

As a result of accepting the 7,000 tickets, Hibernian have made a big promise. They are aware of the possible financial burden, but they know how important it is to give their fans a place at Celtic Park.

Celtic’s Kindness and Help for the Fans

From Celtic’s point of view, letting Hibernian have more seats shows that they are happy to work with rival fans, which makes the gameday experience better for everyone. Celtic fans are used to getting very excited on away days, so it’s not a surprise that the Hoops have decided to let so many Hibernian fans come.

This is a good thing for the game, and it shows that Celtic wants to make sure there is a great mood for all fans while also making sure that the demand for tickets is met.

The bigger number of away fans will definitely make the mood at Celtic Park better, since the Scottish Cup match is going to be tough for Celtic. Like always, there will be a lot of Celtic fans there, but it will be interesting to see how the extra Hibs fans change the mood.
