Will Conor Gallagher’s sale by Chelsea be regretted?
With so many excellent midfield alternatives available to Chelsea, Enzo Maresca won’t be worrying about Gallagher’s departure.
Having said that, Gallagher and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are not all that different from one another, and Romeo Lavia struggles to maintain his physical fitness.
Given that they are both box-to-box midfielders, it seems like Chelsea would have been better off holding onto the former and saving their money for the latter.
Gallagher is not necessary for Chelsea to accomplish their goals, though. Maresca has a potent roster full of capable attackers.
To put it plainly, if they haven’t already, everyone will move on fast, particularly if Dewsbury-Hall succeeds.
