Throughout a large portion of the January transfer window, Marcus Rashford pushed to leave Manchester United, and the England star is now getting closer to leaving Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford, a star for Manchester United, is getting closer to joining Aston Villa on loan.

Since he was left out of the team that defeated Manchester City, Rashford has been advocating for his departure from United. In the days after the game, he gave a shocking interview in which he said that he was ready for a new challenge.

However, finding a move has been more difficult than anticipated, as both AC Milan and Barcelona have cancelled deals that were strongly connected to him. However, Villa has now extended an offer to him as they attempt to reassemble their team in the wake of Jhon Duran’s historic transfer to Al-Nassr.

The Manchester Evening News reports that negotiations are underway for Rashford to sign a loan agreement with Villa for the rest of the season. There is hope that the transfer will be completed even though Monday’s 11 p.m. deadline is drawing near.

Due to Villa’s automatic qualification for the round of 16, Rashford will be allowed to participate in the Champions League knockout stages. The 27-year-old has missed all 12 of United’s games and has been left out of their matchday squad in all but one of those games.

The Athletic claims that Villa manager Unai Emery personally asked the team to start negotiations for Rashford. As a ‘huge fan’ of the United outcast, the Spaniard is thought to think he can assist him get back to his peak.

Prior to their trip to Wolves on Saturday, Villa is now ranked ninth in the Premier League standings. Emery made a suggestion that Villa would be active players in the closing days of the transfer window before bringing his team to Molineux.

On Friday afternoon, Emery stated, “Hopefully in two or three days we can join two or three players with us,” “To reach our goal as a group, I will be very motivated. Right now, what we are doing during this transfer window is not typical. However, there are some situations that we must accept.

“The club is working and we need to act quickly because the transfer window will end in a few days. The way the players are reacting makes me very delighted. We had certain games where players were on the verge of leaving, but we were still able to respond and obtain the performance we required. They make me proud.

“It will be challenging to bring on more players in the coming days. However, with the talent we have, we are a very strong team that competes in several tournaments. For instance, I am pleased with Lamare Bogarde’s reaction and development. Others, like him, have an opportunity when we are without players.

“I’m sure we can compete in the Premier League and Champions League if we stick with the current team and don’t acquire any players. Naturally, though, we’re working to improve things and give them additional alternatives to experiment with their abilities and skills.”
