BREAKING: Manchester United on the verge of completing another big transfer tomorrow morning, paperwork done, agreement reached, jersey number confirmed – announcement tomorrow morning

Breaking: Manchester United is about to finalise a significant move tomorrow morning; all the necessary paperwork has been completed, an agreement has been reached, and the jersey number has been verified. An announcement will be made tomorrow morning.
Matthijs de Ligt, a defender for Bayern Munich, is reportedly waiting for a summer transfer to Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

After completing the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, a striker for Bologna, last weekend, Man United is now close to acquiring Leny Yoro, a center-back, from Lille.

Romano has now confirmed to Givemesport that United has not ruled out signing the Dutchman and that de Ligt is still eager to join them at Old Trafford.

“Matthijs de Ligt is still interested in joining Manchester United, but the deal with Bayern was never finalised because Man United was holding out for Leny Yoro,” he stated. Now that Leny Yoro is almost a signed player, De Ligt continues to wait for Manchester United.

Potential agreement
Yoro has since overtaken de Ligt as United’s top target, and the team has won the race to sign him. He completed the first round of his medical examination and is anticipated to sign a long-term contract shortly.

With the arrival of the Frenchman, it is unclear if United will press for a deal including de Ligt. The player, valued at £55 million, has accepted terms to join, but he might need to wait to join the Manchester United powerhouses.

This summer, United has a tight transfer budget, therefore they might need to raise money beforehand. The acquisition of a star defensive midfield player might be the hierarchy’s top objective going forward. They have their eye on Manuel Ugarte.

De Ligt’s next move might be contingent upon developments within the centre defensive unit. Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire remain in doubt, but Lisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans are certain spots for the upcoming year.

If one of the two goes for the departure door, that might allow de Ligt to transfer to United. Given that Lindelof’s current contract with the club expires in June of next year, he may be the most likely option to make way.
