In response to reports that Alexander Isak was linked to Arsenal and other clubs, Eddie Howe has responded.
Since he joined the Premier League, the Swedish striker has been a great addition for them, and teams are circling.
He is now on Arsenal’s shopping list as they look to add a new striker, and he could end the season with up to 20 goals.
That list includes a number of players, such as Ivan Toney, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen.
Although Arsenal had previously been interested in Callum Wilson, they are now more likely to sign Isak, a striker from Newcastle.
He is a quality striker, as every elite team knows, and Newcastle is aware that he has European suitors.
But when questioned about the striker’s future, Howe made it apparent that they have no plans to sell.
The Daily Mail cited the head coach as saying, “He’s an outstanding talent and no one connected with Newcastle would want to lose him.”
He performed admirably on Saturday. Although he did not score in open play, he played very well overall and scored two excellent penalties. His athleticism and link play both appeared to be in excellent shape.
Only Arsenal’s viewpoint
Isak is among the Premier League’s best strikers, and he may perform better than our players in the same position.
Although Newcastle has been aspirational, the 24-year-old would jump at the chance to join a premier club such as us.
