The High Court of Delhi has approved Venky’s to transmit £18.4 million to Blackburn Rovers.
The Indian Ministry of Finance has been investigating Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt Ltd (VHPL), the parent business of Venky’s London Limited (VLL), the owner of Blackburn Rovers, since 2023 and continues to do so.
As a result, there are legal hurdles Venky’s must overcome in order to continue sponsoring the club. That has not been an issue for several years, as VHPL obtained a No Objection Certificate later that year, allowing the monies to be transferred.
