Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion, and Leicester City are all fighting to avoid relegation from the Championship this season.
Blackburn and Leicester have just appointed Michael O’Neill and Gary Rowett, respectively, to try to fend off the possibility of relegation to League One, while James Morrison will take interim management of West Brom until the end of the season.
Rovers started well under O’Neill, winning consecutive games against Queens Park Rangers and Preston North End, but they have since lost to Bristol City and Derby County.
Meanwhile, West Brom have yet to win since the turn of the year, having fired both Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay, while the Foxes have not tasted victory since defeating the Baggies on January 5.
Blackburn Rovers midfielder suffers season-ending injury, which could benefit West Brom and Leicester City.

Leicester are currently in the relegation zone with 34 points, having incurred a six-point deduction, while Blackburn and West Brom are the two teams slightly above them.
Rovers host Rowett’s side on the final day of the Championship season, which already appears to be the difference between relegation and survival.
Blackburn also face the Baggies on Easter Monday, which may be equally important.
Meanwhile, according to BBC Sport, Rovers midfielder Sondre Tronstad will miss the rest of the season after undergoing a full ACL reconstruction.
The Lancashire club’s statement continued: “Tronstad, who has started 28 of Rovers’ 35 Championship fixtures this season, now begins a lengthy recovery period and will have the full support of the club’s medical department throughout his rehabilitation journey.”Everyone at the club wishes Sonny a complete and rapid recovery.
The 30-year-old, who is in his third season at Ewood Park, has two assists this season, both coming in the 3-1 victory over QPR last month.
Sondre Tronstad may have already played his final Blackburn Rovers game.

The departure of Tronstad, a major figure for Rovers, bodes well for West Brom and Leicester’s chances of surviving the Championship, and might push the Lancashire club down to League One.
Tronstad has been a regular asset for the Ewood Park team this season, demonstrating both his quality in possession and his tenacity away from the ball.
The Norway international appeared in 38 second-tier games as Blackburn narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season, and he was also a regular in their 2023/24 survival campaign.
However, Rovers must avoid relegation to the League. Due to a serious injury setback, the former Vitesse player will not be available this time.
Tronstad’s contract expires this summer, therefore he may have played his final Blackburn game without realising it when O’Neill’s side hosted Bristol City last month.
When the Lancashire outfit signed the midfielder on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, the announcement praised his technical skills and passing range, which he has displayed in the Championship during his Rovers tenure.
O’Neill’s squad is obviously weaker without Tronstad, which benefits West Brom and Leicester in the second-tier relegation race.
