Igor Tyjon has informed Blackburn Rovers that he will not sign a professional contract with the club.
In recent years, Arsenal, Manchester United, and other Premier League clubs have expressed interest in the gifted adolescent. Despite his interest, he accepted a two-year scholarship from Rovers 18 months ago.
That ends this summer, and Tyjon will be eligible for his first professional terms since turning 17 in February. Rovers have held contract talks and made a strong push to sign him by incorporating him into first-team plans during pre-season.
However, with no contract signed, no further Championship opportunities have materialized, and Tyjon will not be staying at Rovers and may be sold in January.

Given that he is out of contract in June, the club’s best chance of securing a fair sum is to reach an agreement next month. Otherwise, they will only be compensated based on his age.
As a result of his decision, he is being passed over in favor of other Academy talents, despite Rovers’ offensive injury problem. Tyjon was the 21st man against Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday, with Brandon Powell on the bench at Hillsborough.
“We were negotiating with him to extend his contract. “He decided not to extend his contract,” Ismael said.
“So it’s clear to us that he might leave the club as of January 1st.” As a result, we are now focusing on players who will benefit us in the future.
“As I previously stated, there is an opportunity to visit some Academy players within that time period. I believe they are doing extremely well at the moment. They truly assist us bridge the gap till the players recover from injury.”
