Chris Davies is fighting to keep his job at Birmingham City as the club prepares a shortlist of possible replacements.
According to Football Insider, the 40-year-old’s job is tenuous following the Blues’ 3-0 defeat against Sheffield United.

The Midlands club has struggled on the road, with this their eighth loss in 12 league games away from St. Andrew’s since promotion.
Davies has been in command since the summer of 2024, and he supervised Birmingham’s record-breaking elevation to the second division, during which the team scored 111 points.

As a result, Birmingham are already putting together a list of potential Davies replacements in case the manager changes during the holiday season.

The timing of a manager change is tough for Birmingham.
Not only are there a lot of games coming up in the next several weeks, but the January transfer window is also approaching.
If Birmingham wants to change managers immediately, the new coach will have a lot of work to do in a short period of time, which could be difficult.
The Blues’ away form is worrying, but they continue to perform well at home, which is why they are still in contention for a top six spot.
