Alfons Sampsted has completed his move away from Birmingham City

Alfons Sampsted has left Birmingham City to join Go Ahead Eagles on a permanent basis.
The Iceland international leaves Blues 18 months after signing on loan from FC Twente, which became permanent in the summer.
He was member of the Blues’ League. He played on one title-winning team, but he was never manager Chris Davies’ first choice.
Sampsted appeared in 31 games for Blues, usually as a substitute, but he started two Championship games for the team over the Christmas period.
The 27-year-old began against Southampton and Watford before being dropped from the starting lineup when Davies moved Tomoki Iwata to right back.
Davies initially stopped Sampsted’s leave when the Blues were short on numbers in early January, but the defender has already left when Bright Osayi-Samuel returned from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Sampsted follows Lyndon Dykes, Keshi Anderson, and Marc Leonard out of the building this month.
